BIM-to-Point Cloud Conversion and 3D View Reconstruction with ML-Ready 3D Annotation
Poster accepted for presentation at the ASCE International Conference on Computing in Civil Engineering 2025 (March 18–21) in San Antonio. The work introduces a workflow that converts BIM models into structured, semantically annotated point-cloud datasets suitable for machine learning applications in construction analytics. The pipeline enables element-level dataset generation across architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines, supporting research in automated progress monitoring and AI-driven construction data analysis.
