MIS for Disaster Management Beneficiary Allowance Disbursement

I worked on a project to develop centralized Management Information Systems (MIS) for the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief, the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. The project was financed by the World Bank Group, with a target to digitize and automate the government’s Safety Net Systems initiatives.

I served as key focal person and Project Manager, ensuring proper delivery of the software and infrastructure — from project planning, system requirement collection, and budgeting, to vendor negotiation and system (hardware & software) deployment. The goal was to increase integrity, efficiency, and transparency in disbursing allowance benefits to the poorest population segment based on their Poverty Score, transforming a paper-based, handwritten process into a full online process.
